今回は
全部床義歯の患者満足度と
義歯の質（quality）、口腔内状態、唾液流量との
関連性を調べることを目的としています。
対象者は全部床義歯装着者50 名
（男性18 名，女性32 名，52～89 歳，平均年齢67 歳）。
義歯に対する満足度は7 項目
①義歯の外観，②上顎義歯の維持，③下顎義歯の維持
④咀嚼，⑤発語，⑥上顎義歯の快適性，⑦下顎義歯の快適性
を質問表で5段階評価しています。
義歯の質については
床の大きさ，安静空隙，中心咬合位での接触状態，咬合平衡
口腔内状態については
顎堤の形態，顎堤の弾性，舌・唇・頬の筋を
臨床検査で評価しています。
（義歯の質：good，fair，poor，bad の4 段階評価
顎提：good，fair，poor の3段階評価
筋：good，poor の2 段階評価）
顎下腺と舌下腺の唾液は
午前9 時から午後1 時の間に採取し
唾液流量としています。
The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between patient satisfaction with complete dentures and parameters of denture quality, oral condition, and flow rate of the submandibular and sublingual salivary glands.
The parameters were evaluated on 50 denture wearers using semiquantitative scales and a recently described submandibular/sublingual saliva collector.
Most patients had a medication-induced reduced salivary flow rate (mean 0.024 mL/min/gland; SD 0.040). Submandibular/sublingual salivary flow rate correlated statistically with six denture satisfaction parameters: maxillary denture retention and comfort, mandibular denture retention and comfort, abilities of chewing, and speech. Residual alveolar ridge resilience, maxillary ridge shape, and denture quality did not significantly correlate with denture satisfaction. Characteristics of musculature correlated significantly only with subjective maxillary denture retention, and mandibular ridge shape correlated with comfort.
Submandibular/sublingual salivary flow rate is an important factor in denture satisfaction. The retention of the maxillary denture was correlated to the oral musculature characteristics, and the mandibular denture comfort was correlated to the mandibular ridge shape. Denture satisfaction was not affected by other anatomic or denture quality-related parameters.
結果
患者の評価では，発語，義歯の外観，上顎義歯の維持がfair～good
下顎義歯の維持と快適性，咀嚼がfair～poor が多かった。
上顎顎堤の形態と弾性，筋は一般にgood
下顎顎堤の形態と弾性はfair だった。
上下顎義歯の質は，概してfair だった。
顎下腺と舌下腺の平均唾液流量は
0.024（±0.040）ml / min / gland だった。
咀嚼，発語，上顎義歯の快適性，下顎義歯の快適性
上顎義歯の維持，下顎義歯の維持の各項目と
平均唾液流量との間に有意な相関が認められた。

結論として
筋と上顎義歯の維持との間に有意な相関が認められ
下顎顎堤の形態と下顎義歯の快適性との間に有意な相関が認められた
ということです。
